自分たちのような者がいかに地域と関わって生きていくのかや、すでに限界を迎えつつあるキャパの中でいかに制作の場を確保していくのか…これらの問題は昨年のフランス帰国後より、日々、夫婦で思案していたことでした。
ありがたいことにこういった機会を頂くことができ、今までの自分たちには無かった全く新しい価値観に触れることができそうで、創作においてもまた一つ階段を登ることができそうな予感がしています。
作品制作だけにとどまらず、この地域を盛り上げ四方良しのマインドでこれからも切磋琢磨していきます。
This time, we have decided to rent a new activity base office and production studio in “Okuharima Kakashi no Sato (The Scarecrow Village of Okuharima)” in Himeji city. The villagers are taking care of Chika Usui.
Not only that, but we will work with the administration and local people to challenge completely new things!
It was an important challenge for us to see how an artist can be involved with the local community in Japan. Also, as the storage capacity of our artwork reached its limit, how will we secure our production space… We have been thinking about those problems since we came back from France last year.
This is a great opportunity for us to experience new values that we have never had before. And we have a hunch that we will be able to climb one more step in creation!!
